On tonight’s episode of The Torch & Twang, DJ Sparrow and I took a quick trip with The Man In Black to a town called Aqua Fria, discussing Johnny Cash’s posthumous compilation album From American Recordings: Unearthed, which DJ Sparrow recently acquired on their lastist record haul. After spending some time with the old time greats we discussed the quietness of summers in East Lansing and Listened to Wilco’s advice on How To Fight Loneliness. The Boss and his E Street Band made a quick live appearance with I’m On Fire to celebrate a very special DJ’s Birthday. After listening to a few more live songs by Pete Seeger and Jack Elliot, we ended off the night with some new (for us) Dolly Parton with Time For Me To Fly. Attached is tonights playlist for all y’all cowpoke to ponder over; for us, we’ll see you ’round the fire next week.
