Evening cowpoke, you seem to have caught me on a bit of a muggy day, you can almost swim through the air. Well either way it was nice of ya’ ta’ rest by the fire a bit and hear some tunes, specially with my Pardner DJ DC still being gone, Yup DJ Sparrow is still all alone. Tonight we started things off with that pesky Robert Zimmerman (Bob Dylan); he just cant seem to leave us be, though I must admit he’s got some good tunes, he even wrote half of the tunes i listen to. It felt like a slower night and for that I kept things at a steady pace. I was surely missing having someone to talk back to but I would say I made it through the rough trail alright. some highlights were some older tunes featuring Ramblin’ Jack Elliot and The Carter Family, as well as a drop discussing the steady rise of The ratboys a band out of Chicago carrying the alt-americana flame that that city gets to hold. I mustered through the whole night though, bidding fairwell with a quick trip to some noir tunes before ending things off with Springsteens Spirit In The Night to round out a lovely, if slightly slow show. For now it’s onto another week of solo travelin’, hope you stop by the campfire again next week cowpoke to keep me some company.
