2023+Summer+Selections%3A+The+Progressive+Torch+and+Twang

This summer has been a much-needed break for many folks at Impact 89FM, and though I was not actively behind the mic, several emerging, staple and previously in-hiatus artists decorated this summer’s alt-country soundscape with captivating and groundbreaking twang.

Here are the Progressive Torch and Twang’s selections from the summer of 2023:

  • “Something To Look Forward To” – John P. Strohm
  • “Evicted” – Wilco
  • “Middle of the Morning” – Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit
  • “Nobody Wants a Lonely Heart” – Elizabeth Moen
  • “Knockin” – MJ Lenderman
  • “Lowland Trail” – Margo Cilker
  • “In Your Love” – Tyler Childers
  • “Take My Heart” – Florry
  • “Star of Bethlehem” – Neil Young
  • “Got Over It” – Michael Hurley
