November 18, 2019
EAST LANSING — Michigan State men’s basketball freshman Malik Hall was named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week earlier today, after scoring all 17 of his points in the second half of the Spartans 76-73 road win over then No. 12 Seton Hall.
Hall was the second best player on the floor all night for MSU, stepping up in one of the tougher environments he may experience this season.
The Aurora, Illinois native is the first freshmen to be named to the award since Jaren Jackson Jr., in January of 2018.
The forward was a big part of the 10-2 run for MSU over the last three minutes of the game that ultimately helped MSU win. He also was 7-of-7 shooting from the field and made three 3-pointers en route to the win.
MSU takes on Charleston this evening at 6:30 p.m., the game can be found on Big Ten Network.
