Green & White Report – 10/20/19 – Dream Stadiums

In this week’s episode of The Green & White Report, co-hosts Ryan Rabinowitz and Julian Mitchell kick off the show by giving their thoughts on last Monday’s Detroit Lions game against the Green Bay Packers, where the Lions fell 23-22 due to a handful of controversial referee calls (6:12).
From pro football, we hop on over to the NCAA, as Ryan and Julian have a brief discussion on the recent transfers coming from the MSU Football team and their different opinions on the subject (17:58).
The guys then invite MSU Men’s Soccer Beat Reporter Adam Bakr into the studio, as he recaps the 3-1 victory the Spartans had against Ohio State on Saturday (33:27).
Following an MSU sports update by Henry Menigoz (39:06), Producer Hikaru Kudo joins the hosts to preview MSU Volleyball’s match against No. 8 Penn St. (40:41).
The show then shifts to MSU Men’s Basketball Media Day, as Julian breaks down he’s takeaways from this year’s pre-season event (51:49).
Moving into the second hour of the show, after a brief pro sports update by Henry (1:05:08), Ryan and Julian host the weekly Sparty Awards. This week’s theme: Dream stadiums and/or venues (1:06:39).
Sports Editor Luke Sloan is invited on for the last 45 minutes of the show, as Luke and the guys give their thoughts on the upcoming MLB World Series (1:23:09), preview MSU Football’s matchup against No. 6 Penn St (1:38:01), and wrap up the show with the weekly NFL picks (1:44:26).

Hikaru Kudo is a sophomore journalism student from Novi, Michigan. Ryan is a senior in the Eli Broad College of Business, he co-hosts the Green & White Report and hosts the Motown Rundown podcast. He has also previously covered hockey and baseball for Impact 89FM.

Julian Mitchell is currently a senior journalism major who joined Impact in the fall of 2016. Hailing from St. Louis, home of the great St. Louis Cardinals, he has been a sports fan all his life. If it wasn’t for his short stature, Julian would probably be Tom Izzo’s floor general and be leading the team to a third national title. Adam is a junior journalism major who covers men's soccer for Impact 89FM. He also covers professional soccer and contributes to Impact's professional sports coverage.

Luke is a junior journalism major who currently serves as sports director for Impact 89FM. As sports director, Luke oversees the day-to-day operations of the sports department while covering a variety of sports across campus.
