EAST LANSING– Following the end of the regular season, No. 24 Michigan State saw three Spartans earn All-Big Ten honors for their contributions.
Graduate guard Julia Ayrault was named to the second team along with junior forward Grace VanSlooten. This is Ayraults second straight appearance on the list after qualifying for the first team last season. For this season, Ayrault averaged 14.7 points per game along with 7.5 rebounds per game.
Adding another dimension to MSU’s attack was VanSlooten’s effect in the post. She received All-Pac 12 honorable mentions as a freshman and sophomore at Oregon before arriving in East Lansing. Since joining MSU, she leads the team in scoring at 15.6 ppg along with 6.9 rpg.

Junior guard Theyrn Hallock was featured as an All-Big Ten honorable mention behind a strong second half and finish to the year. She is MSU’s third player averaging double figures in scoring with 13.9 ppg. This is also Hallock’s second time being honored as she received Big Ten sixth player of the year in 2023-24.

Graduate guard Nyla Hampton was also featured as the Spartans choice for the Big Ten Sportsmanship award, after following MSU head coach Robyn Fralick from Bowling Green. Her time at BGSU showed she was ready to make the jump to a power program, as she is a two-time MAC defensive player of the year and qualified for the MAC all-defense team all four of her years there.
The Spartans look to take this positive momentum into the Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis. MSU will take on either Wisconsin or Iowa Thursday night with tip-off set for about 9:00 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
