EAST LANSING, Mich— Michigan State women’s soccer head coach Jeff Hosler has had a busy few weeks. Hosler, who has already added former Florida State winger Sierra Curtis on Nov. 11, announced the addition of Colgate graduate transfer defender Ruby Diodati on Dec. 5.

During her three-year span at Colgate, Diodati started in 61 games, appeared in 62, and was a three-time All-Patriot League selection in addition to a team captain. She also led the Patriot League in assists during her junior and senior seasons and was named as an All-League Tournament selection during the 2018 and 2020-21 seasons.

Overall, Diodati compiled seven goals and 15 assists during her time at Colgate in over 5,000 minutes of play. This past season, she scored three goals and led the team with six assists to go along with 17 starts in 1,519 minutes of action. She also led the team in total points as a junior and senior.

In 2019 and 2020-21, she was named to the All-Patriot League Second Team.

As a graduate transfer, Diodati will have one year of eligibility remaining. She will hope to stabilize an MSU defensive unit that is currently set to lose key contributor Sam Sklarski. Defender Samantha White is set to return for her final COVID-19 year of eligibility.
