Joseph DesVergnes, Sports Director
Joseph DesVergnes (Joe Dez) (he/him) is a senior studying broadcast and sports journalism. In addition to his role as Sports Director, he also hosts The Green and White Report and Crunch Time for Impact. Outside of sports, Joe loves comedy and weightlifting. He can bench press 275 pounds.
Allie Cohen, Sports Broadcast Assistant
Allie (she/her) is the Sports Broadcast Assistant at Impact 89FM. She is a senior journalism and sports broadcasting student. She has covered MSU women’s and men’s basketball and hockey. Allie’s favorite artist is Taylor Swift.
Jack David, Sports Producer
Jack (he/him) is a sports producer for Impact 89FM. He is a senior journalism student with minors in sports and broadcast journalism. His favorite sport is football, and he has covered the NFL, including the 2024 NFL Draft, for Impact. Jack’s favorite song is Friday I’m in Love by The Cure.
Jay DeCoster, Sports Editorial Assistant
Jay is a senior studying Mediated Communications at Michigan State. He joined Impact in September of 2021 as a volunteer. Jay is the Michigan State Football & women’s soccer beat reporter for the Impact sports department. His interests include supporting his favorite Chicago sports teams, and golfing in the summer.
