DJ Spotlight of the Week: Annalise Eisenberg

Annalise, known as “DJ Lise” on the air,  joined airstaff during her first semester here at MSU!! You can tune into 88.9 from 4-6 p.m. to hear this top 5 @ 5 DJ as she gives away prizes.

 

Where are you from?

Chicago

What made you decide to join The IMPACT and become a DJ?

I love music with my entire soul and have a background in music performance so this was an ideal position for me. I love being able to talk and host while still having a relaxing space to do so. Getting to share my music taste and getting requests from listeners makes my day <3

What has been your best on-air experience?

Getting calls from listeners about how they love the music I’m playing and how they like the trivia facts I give.

Favorite song/album of 2023-2024

Memento Mori by Depeche Mode

What is the best concert experience you have had? Why?

The Flamin lips 20th anniversary of Yoshi Battles the Pink robots  because the technical color show they put on was so amazing. They has the best interactions with crowd and the audience was eating it up.

Favorite Dining Hall?

I’m a combos girl so any sparties

Are you more of a scooter in the river or a stolen bike?

I feel like a stolen BMX bike missing a wheel because I’m super short like a bmx but somedays I can’t function like I’m missing a wheel

Plan a dinner in East Lansing with any person dead or alive. Who would it be?  Where would you go?

I would go to Omi sushi (best spot on grandriver btw) and would have an intense conversation with John Waters about his unique film style and stories.  

What is your comfort TV show?

I have a comfort movie and its roadhouse with Patrick Swayze

Favorite College Memory?

Walking in the rain during Halloween and watching people slip and fall.

If you were on a deserted island, what 3 albums would you bring?

Depression cherry – Beach House, Flood- They Might Be Giants, (What’s the story) Morning Glory – Oasis

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

Oh What a Night by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

What’s your favorite article of clothing you own?

My moms vintage prom dress, it’s a cupcake style dress that’s dark purple with gold and red roses.

What’s your zodiac sign?

Aquarius

You have one year to live: how do you spend it?

Traveling all around the world with my buddies in a RV seeing all the sights possible.

Some historical figures have epithets attached to their names, like The Mad or The Wise. What would you like yours to be?

Ani the Cat Whisper

Who would be your dream co-host?

Danny Elfman because he’s insane and brilliant

If you could play an artist non-stop on the air, which would it be?

Probably Mazzy Star because you can’t go wrong with Mazzy
