Summer of 2023 saw a lot of great new music but the one album that immediately comes to mind is Everything Harmony by The Lemon Twigs. The band, fronted by brothers Michael and Brian D’Addario embraces a familiar and energizing power pop sound and style of the ‘70s. In a green room reminiscent of a doctor’s office, I was able to speak with the brothers about topics ranging from upcoming releases to Paul McCartney conspiracy theories. I enjoyed conversing about their recording equipment and habits, as I could feel their passion for the process. They bounced off each other only as brothers could, and from this chemistry, I was incredibly excited for their performance.

The band’s live energy was contagious, as Michael would fly through the air with his Rickenbacker guitar around his neck before moving to drums or bass while Brian’s gentle acoustic guitar fingerpicking left melancholy over the crowd. After the show, The Lemon Twigs came to the floor to chat and take pictures with us and other fans, and I can only think that no one left the show dissatisfied.
