Forty-two years ago, on a (possibly) snowy December 12th, rhythm and lead guitarist for The Rolling Stones, Mick Taylor, announced his departure from the band. He did so in proper rockstar fashion by announcing it to Mick Jagger at a party in London, and then simply walked out.
Classic.
He was introduced in 1969, when former lead guitarist Brian Jones was removed from the band. While he was a middle-man of sorts, being mainly active in the group from 1969-1974, he was a prevalent member during the release of five albums.
