Shocking Accident

A Michigan State Spartans assistant softball coach died in a rollover crash on Interstate 96 on Wednesday.

According to USA Today, Charles Fobbs, who joined the team as a full-time assistant coach in fall 2012, was killed when he swerved to avoid slowing traffic and his car left the road, rolling several times. Fobbs died at the scene.In a press release, Fobbs joined the MSU softball team as a volunteer assistant coach in 2009. He had more than 15 years of coaching experience, including coaching the Detroit Cass Technical High School varsity softball team from 1991-2008.

The Sunday double-header against Detroit has been cancelled. Funeral services for Fobbs are at City Temple on Tuesday, September 21 at noon.
