No intro? No in-studio guests? No problem.
Secret Society is changing things up this week! Host Bradley Allen experiments with a new format for lucky number seven, a Quidditch World Cup preview.
He spoke with MSU Quidditch‘s public relations representative Maggie Hermanson about how enough money was raised to send their team to the tournament this year, and what the team’s goal is for the tournament. Bradley also spoke on the phone with Sarah Woolsey of the International Quidditch Association about the history of the Quidditch World Cup, and some of her experiences with quidditch.
World Cup VII will be this weekend, April 5 and 6, in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. Michigan State is scheduled to play all three teams in their pool on Saturday which include Syracuse, and community teams from Long Beach, Calif. and Pittsburgh, Pa. There will be 80 teams competing in this year’s World Cup along with several other attractions including a performance by musician Howie Day.
