Spartans Take on Badgers

The Spartans (13-7, 5-2) will take on the Wisconsin Badgers (9-10, 2-5) tonight at 7 p.m. at the Breslin Center.

Michigan State have not had much trouble with the Badgers in recent seasons and tonight should not be any different. Last year, Jasmine Thomas and Kiana Johnson led the Spartans to a 54-48 victory.

Coming off the win against Ohio State on Sunday, the Spartans are doing well offensively. Freshman Tori Jankoska led MSU with 25 points and freshman Ariel Powers had 20 points.

Madison Williams made a big difference defensively against Ohio State with eight rebounds and seven blocked shots. Wisconsin’s top rebounder, Taylor Wurtz, might not stand a chance against Williams.

Along with Wurtz, Wisconsin is led by their top scorer Michala Johnson (15.5 ppg, 7.6 rpg) and Morgan Paige (12.5 ppg).
