Torch and Twang

Tuesday | 8:00 P.M. – 12:00 A.M.

Progressive Torch & Twang is unlike any country radio show you’ve heard before. You won’t find the over produced, over cliché “country” that is clogging up the commercial radio airwaves. No Toby Keith or Taylor Swift here. Every Tuesday 8-Midnight, hosts Eric & Alyssa bring you the best from the vast world of americana. All your favorites from bluegrass, folk, alternative country, rockabilly, zydeco, and more find a home on Torch & Twang. From big name stars like The Avett Brothers and Ryan Adams to small time, no name bands you’ve never heard of. Plus country greats of old like Johnny Cash and Hank Williams. Torch & Twang also promotes Michigan’s long standing tradition of incredible bluegrass and folk music by supporting all of your favorite local americana groups.

You’ll also hear numerous in-studio interviews and performances that give insight into the minds of the people behind the music. You’ll be kept up to date on all the concert happenings from Detroit to Grand Rapids and have the opportunity to win goodies with giveaways, including concert tickets, CDs and more!

If you’re a long time fan, or newcomer, to americana music, Progressive Torch & Twang is a must have in your Tuesday night!
