Our DJ Spotlight of the Week is Emma! Emma is a senior packaging major. Her presence emanates joy and laughter. When she’s not supporting her friends or studying, she co-hosts the Progressive torch and Twang. Tune in from 8 p.m.-12 a.m. on Tuesdays to hear Emma and all of the Americanna music!

What’s your role at The IMPACT?

Co-host of the Progressive Torch and Twang.

What made you decide to join The IMPACT and become a DJ?

The Impact table at Spartan Fest my freshman year was playing some BANGERS.

What has been your best on-air experience?

Man… it’s about the collection of experiences not one in particular… 

What is the best concert experience you have had? Why?

I think my soul ascends every time I see Wilco live.

How do you think working in radio will affect your future career and life?

Oh big time. It has provided me with some really awesome communication and leadership skills.

If you were on a deserted island, who would you bring with you, and why?

My friend Natalie. She’s a smart lady she could figure out how to save us while I cry.

What’s a time you laughed so hard you cried?

There are many.

What’s your favorite dining hall?

Holden low key slaps.

If you could have dinner with any person, dead or alive, who would you pick?

This one is TOUGH but right now I’d have to say Mr. John Lennon.
