Athlete of the Week – Aerial Powers

This week’s Athlete of the Week is Aerial Powers, the redshirt sophomore forward for MSU women’s basketball from Detroit, Michigan.
After missing the 2013-2013 season due to injury, Powers came out and dominated last season. Powers won numerous Big Ten accolades as well as posting great numbers in the regular season games. She started all 33 of the games she played in, averaging 13.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

What’s your favorite Gatorade flavor?
“The blue one…the light blue one”
What song gets you pumped up before a game?
“I like hardcore stuff before the game like J.Cole, Eminem and Chris Brown, just because I love Chris Brown”
If you had to play another sport at Michigan State, what sport would it be?
“I love football, but girls can’t play football. I would be a wide receiver.”
What’s your favorite place on campus?
“The Breslin!”
Where would be your favorite place to travel?
“Italy”
Its 2 a.m on a weekend and you are just getting home, what food do you order?
“Oh, pizza definitely. Happy’s Pizza.”
Kobe, LeBron, or Kevin Durant?
“LeBron. I love LeBron. It’s not like I hate any of the other ones, I just love LeBron”
