HALFTIME: MSU 14 – UM 3

The Spartans came out firing on their first drive, as Jeremy Langford capped a 75-yard drive with a 2-yard touchdown run. There were no more points for MSU until their final drive of the half, where Langford rushed in for a 1-yard score. At halftime, the Spartans lead the Wolverines 14-3.
Michigan State linebacker Chris Frey was ejected for targeting, and Lawrence Thomas recovered a Michigan fumble. Michigan defensive back Delano Hill recovered a fumble of his own late in the first half. Michigan kicker Matt Wile made a 48-yard kick after the turnover.
Connor Cook has completed 11 of 17 passes for 157 yards, and Devin Gardner has only 37 passing yards. As a team, UM has rushed for 0 yards. Jeremy Langford is lead the rushing game for MSU with 77 yards and two touchdowns.
