Athlete of the Week: Becky Stiles

For this week’s Athlete of the Week installment, Impact Sports sat down with Becky Stiles, a senior midfielder for MSU’s field hockey team. The Medford, N.J. native is majoring in economics.

What is your favorite Gatorade flavor?

“Probably the green when they make the green Gatorade on game day.”

It is 2 a.m. on a weekend and you are just getting home, what food are you ordering?

“Probably ice cream or brownies.”

What do you want to be when you grow up?

“My dream job would be a dentist like my dad.”

What is your all-time favorite movie?

“The Parent Trap.”

What song pumps you up most when you are warming up?

“I’m probably different than a lot of people on my team, but I like country music, more mellow and not crazy like rap. I like anything like Alan Jackson and Tim McGraw.”

What is your favorite color?

“Blue.”

What is your guilty pleasure TV show?

“I watch the Food Network a lot, but then I go and make it.”

If you had to play a different sport at Michigan State, what would it be?

“If they had a women’s lacrosse team, probably women’s lacrosse.”

What is your favorite field hockey memory?

“Probably winning the Big 10 Championship last year.”

What is your favorite professional sports team?

“The Philadelphia Flyers.”

Do you have a favorite class you have taken at MSU?

“I’m an econ. major so I like the econ. classes, but I’m actually taking ANS 141 which is pretty awesome.”
