Friday’s Future Wing: Teemu Pulkkinen
August 8, 2014
Teemu Pulkkinen, 22, is a right-handed left-winger, native of Vantaa, Finland. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL entry level draft at No. 111 overall.
Pulkkinen is a first class, high-end talent that has an extremely dangerous shot, combining both strength and accuracy to collectively provide him for a canon wrist or slap shot.
The 5-foot-11 forward has played in Finland since 2009 and made his first full season appearance in Grand Rapids in 2013-2014 where he played in 71 games and accumulated 59 points through 31 goals with the Griffins.
Although Pulkkinen is not necessarily the best skater, he makes up for it with his incredible puck handling abilities and his playmaking skills.
