Corner Kick – 4/7/14 – Rowdies and Rensing

At Michigan State, the student sections for football, men’s basketball and hockey are filled to the brim with die-hard fans.

Over the past two years, a new student section has grown and can be heard banging a drum and chanting from the Sparty statue all the way to DeMartin Stadium.

The Red Cedar Rowdies are the newest addition to the Michigan State student sections, and the men’s soccer program is happy to have the Rowdies bring their energetic and charismatic chants to every home game.

Luke Ferris, the founding father of the Red Cedar Rowdies; Alex Byers, Grant Boxey and Chris Symons join Michigan State men’s soccer head coach Damon Rensing in studio to talk about the Rowdies and how important they are for the team and the community.
