Lady Spartans Bounce Back

After losing two straight games, the Spartans found their way back to winning, defeating the Ohio State Buckeyes, 82-68. MSU has won their first four Big Ten road games for the second time in program history.

Freshman Tori Jankoska led MSU and also tied her season-high with 25 points. Fifteen of those points came from three-pointers. She only missed twice from behind the arc.

Redshirt freshman Aerial Powers followed Jankoska with 20 points, four rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks.

Seniors and co-captains, Annalise Pickrel and Klarissa Bell combined for 21 points. Pickrel marked her third double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Redshirt junior Madison Williams added a career-high with seven blocks in 19 minutes.

The usual starting point guard, Kiana Johnson, who was 2-20 in the last two games, did not make the trip to Columbus, Ohio due to personal issues.

The Spartans are now 13-7 overall and 5-2 in conference play. They will return home to host Wisconsin on Thursday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
