Lions Lose Heartbreaker

DETROIT, Mich. —  After a tough loss to the Steelers in Pittsburgh last Sunday, the Lions dropped the ball again this week and fell to 6-5 on the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Nate Burleson provided an offensive lift for the Lions in his first game back from his arm injury, but it just was not enough.

What first looked like a completed pass to Calvin Johnson ended up as Matt Stafford’s fourth interception of the game with 50 seconds to play in the fourth quarter.  The Buccaneers sealed it held on with a 24-21 victory.

Luckily for the Lions, they remain on top of the NFC North with a Bears loss to St. Louis and a tie between Minnesota and Green Bay.  The Packers will face the Lions on Thanksgiving Day at Ford Field.
