Evil Eye | Franz Ferdinand

Evil+Eye+%7C+Franz+Ferdinand

The 2013 release off of Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, “Evil Eye” is one you’ll definitely want on your Halloween playlist this year. The song has the familiar Franz Ferdinand style of indie funk-rock, but with screeching and theremin sounds —  it really ups the spook-factor.

Stand alone, the song is great, and the music video is a bonus playing tribute to low budget horror films — lots of lost limbs and excess amounts of blood. In a statement from frontman Alex Kapranos, the video is “a gruesome blood orgy eye stab death romp wide-oh creep necro fest.”

Well, I guess that’s one way to phrase it.

Also, what’s up with the creep-stache, Alex?
