Spartan Orientation Station – OCAT

Welcome back, today we will be discussing the Office of Cultural and Academic Transitions (also known as OCAT) and the work they do at Michigan State. OCAT focuses on bringing students from all different backgrounds together and helping them engage with both their own and other cultures. They also collaborate extensively with multicultural student organizations on campus to host events, support students, and more.
Today we’re here with Samuel Saldivar PhD, the Director of Multicultural Student Services from the Office of Cultural and Academic Transitions and Jason Worley, Coordinator with OCAT and Black Students’ Alliance Advisor.

For additional questions, information about CORES groups, and event details, please visit OCAT’s website, https://ocat.msu.edu/. You can also contact OCAT via email, [email protected], via phone, (517) 353-7745, or in-person in Room 339 of the Student Services Building.
