EAST LANSING — The Michigan State 2023 football schedule got a big shake-up on Wednesday afternoon, as the team announced it will play Penn State at Detroit’s Ford Field in a primetime Black Friday matchup on Nov. 24 at 7:30 pm.

The game marks the first time Michigan State has played at Ford Field since 2010, when the Spartans defeated Florida Atlantic 30-17 on Sept. 11.

Michigan State was originally scheduled to host this matchup at Spartan Stadium for the last home game of the 2023 season. The Spartans will now host six games for this upcoming season.

According to the university, season ticket holders and student season pass holders who already paid for the game will be refunded for tickets and parking.
