Detroit Wing Company is coming to East Lansing

Detroit Wing Company will open its East Lansing location later this year.
It will be located at 437 East Grand River Avenue in the location formerly owned by Blaze Pizza.

Bill Marchiori, a friend of owner Gus Malliaras, is a co-owner of the East Lansing location of Detroit Wing Company. Marchiori has witnessed the growth of the business since the beginning.

Because of Malliaras, passion for creating the restaurant led to widespread praise by being named the “Best Wings in Michigan ” by Buzzfeed, Esquire Magazine, and other news companies.

The special thing about Detroit Wing Company is the signature sauces that were developed by Malliaras. Each of the sauces are made from scratch from all natural ingredients.

The construction of the restaurant is expected to start this spring with its doors opening this summer or fall according to Marchiori.

Marchiori said they’re looking forward to being a part of the community and having a successful restaurant.

MSU vs Wisconsin “That’s not how MSU plays

Michigan State men’s basketball suffered their second consecutive loss of the season to Wisconsin on Tuesday night.

The Spartans were out-hustled and out-shot in the matchup with the Badgers, something that embarrassed Head Coach Tom Izzo in the postgame press conference when he said that former players will be calling to ask what is happening with the team.

The issues started on offense once again. MSU shot 20% from the field and turned the ball over at least five times in the first 11 minutes resulting in a 16-8 Wisconsin lead early.

With Wisconsin’s disciplined defense, Michigan State’s sets in the half court weren’t enough and Izzo couldn’t do anything but rest his head in his hands as he watched.

Team captain and senior forward Gabe Brown said, “There’s a lot of things that went on but we didn’t do the things we’re supposed to do on offense.”

The situation turned back in MSU’s favor in the second half, but the comeback wasn’t enough to pass Wisconsin’s lead.

Brown took responsibility for the loss, saying it’s on him to make sure the team is properly prepared each game to bring necessary energy on the court.

The last five games have been dropped and now The Spartans are going down the Big Ten Standings after being at the top.
