It has been an exciting year for unconventional rap music. This groovy PBR&B track was first laid on wax in Edinburgh, Scotland by the experimental hip hop trio, Young Fathers. Earlier this month, their sophomore album entitled White Men Are Black Men Too dropped, unleashing “Shame” unto the world.
Heavy on lo-fi production, “Shame” features some frenetic percussion, soulful harmonized vocals, and an intoxicatingly danceable bass line. Keep an ear on the Young Fathers: as they are one of the few groups releasing music today who are changing the way listeners view hip hop.
