GRAND LEDGE – On Tuesday, Lansing Urgent Care announced the opening of its eighth location in the Greater Lansing area. The new facility is located at 866 E. Saginaw Highway in Grand Ledge and will mirror the other seven Lansing Urgent Care facilities. The Grand Ledge location officially opened on Feb. 15, 2021.

Patients will be able to receive COVID antibody, rapid, and PCR testing, as well as minor injury and healthcare services. On-site labs, X-ray services, and medications are also available. According to the Lansing Urgent Care website, they do not currently offer COVID-19 vaccinations but, they do “anticipate receiving an allotment of vaccines to administer to our patients in the coming weeks.”

“We are excited to bring our urgent care services to the Grand Ledge community, as well as create more job opportunities in the area,” CEO and owner of Lansing Urgent Care Dr. Terry Matthews said, “This is our 15th year in business and we are happy to celebrate that milestone with a new clinic in a community we always wanted to serve.”

Matthews completed his doctorate in Medicine from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1999. He and Catherine Matthews opened the first Lansing Urgent Care in 2006, and the Frandor location is open 24/7. Currently, they employ about 160 staff members and care for nearly 200,000 patients annually.

The Edward Lowe Foundation for entrepreneurial accomplishment listed the Lansing Urgent Care system among the Top 50 Michigan Companies to Watch, and Dr. Matthews and Catherine Matthews won the 2011 Greater Lansing Area Entrepreneur award for the healthcare category.

The Lansing, Urgent Care website allows patients to check-in online at their desired location without an appointment. The estimated wait times for each site are also displayed as well as their addresses and hours of operation.
