Our DJ Spotlight of the Week is Maddi! Maddi is a junior communications major. When she’s not in class, she brings joy to the station by discussing movies, music and everything pop culture. Tune into her specialty show Movie Night to hear some of her cinema knowledge and some of the best movie scores, every Monday from 8-10 p.m.

What’s your role at The IMPACT?

Events Director/Host of the new specialty show Movie Night!

What made you decide to join The IMPACT and become a DJ?

My Grandma was a DJ and I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps when I got to MSU! I first joined music review and street team, then immediately felt at home here at Impact.  

What is the best concert experience you have had? Why?

I saw Tame Impala at MoPop and it was life changing, I felt so happy listening to “Eventually” while watching the confetti fall. I absolutely need to see them when they tour again! But, my real answer is when I saw Big Time Rush at age 12. 

What’s your zodiac sign?

Taurus.

What is your favorite album of 2019 so far?

Lana Del Rey’s Norman Fucking Rockwell. 

What’s a time you laughed so hard you cried?

Making Tik Toks with George and Amber at CBI.
