Playlist | Guilty Pleasure Music
November 1, 2019
Everyone has that one song they’re ashamed to like but can’t help dancing to once it starts playing. More often than not, they’re cheesy pop songs or hyped-up rap tracks, and if you’re a Gen-Z kid then it’s usually from the early 2000s. I haven’t met a single person who can sit still when “Tik Tok” by Ke$ha comes on at a party.
We can’t forget about our emo years though, can we? Classic tracks like “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” by Panic! at the Disco can please any audience no matter the demographic.
But why do we feel ashamed for loving this music? When it came out, everyone loved it. But now, we cringe at those who proudly listen to Carly Rae Jepsen.
We’ve curated a playlist of some songs that we love to pretend we don’t love, for your (guilty) listening pleasure.
