Folk trio Judah and the Lion recently released a new single “pictures” alongside recent Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves. With a soft acoustic tune, the song is a step away from Musgraves’ typical country sound. It is much more in line with the folk-pop sound of Judah and the Lion.
“pictures” is the artfully told story of a breakup. The song pairs quiet harmonies and gentle instrumentals to put together an altogether nostalgic and bittersweet track.
It is Musgraves’ first release since her triumphant run at the Grammys, where she took home four awards including Best Country Song and Album of the Year.
Both artists also have upcoming events—this is the second single of the year for Judah and the Lion, who will be setting out on a tour in April. Tickets for the tour can be found here. Kacey Musgraves will be continuing her “Oh, What a World” tour throughout the southern US and Australia.
