Remembering Thanksgiving
This week on The Undercurrent, host Cole Tunningley and reporter Sophie Sagan tell each other two stories related to Thanksgiving.
The first is about Jamestown, a colony set up a few decades before the Pilgrims came to this country.
The second is about how one woman spent over thirty years of her life campaigning to make Thanksgiving a federal holiday.
Sophie is a senior at Michigan State majoring in social relations and policy and minoring in documentary production. She has been at The Impact in one way or another since 2016. Her current position is News Director and host of the Undercurrent, WDBM's weekly news and storytelling podcast.
