After a six-year hiatus, Melody Prochet of Melody’s Echo Chamber is bestowing upon us some new ear magic via her single “Breathe in, Breathe Out.” Since her debut in 2012, Prochet is finally due to release her sophomore album. A year ago, she put out her first single from the forthcoming project, which was meant to surface in the summer of 2017. However, after a very serious accident, this all was put on hold. We are so lucky to have Prochet feeling good enough to make music again because it is downright heavenly.

“Breathe in, Breathe Out” is a perfect follow up to Prochet’s other single because it picks up the sweet psychedelia of  “Cross My Heart,” and runs with it. The swifter backbone to the tune pulls the listener through the contrasting sections, making the disjunct character of the song feel smoother. You’ll find yourself putting the single on repeat because all of this disjunction creates an exciting listen every time. At the same time, we are soothed as Prochet’s starry vocals float over-top the stimulating instrumentals. The inherent adventurous nature to “Breathe in, Breathe Out” makes it the perfect song to dive into summer with.

But don’t worry, “Breathe in, Breathe Out” only has to get you through to June 15. The rest of the summer, we have all of Bon Voyage by Melody’s Echo Chamber to enjoy under the sun.
