Best of Season Six
This week on The Undercurrent, host Cole Tunningley brings you the staff’s favorite stories from season six.
First, the host presents his own story about Bee Wise Farms, an urban farming project that reaches out to veterans with PTSD. They also do work within the community, such as beekeeping workshops and yoga seminars.
Reporter Naina Rao picked her story about the Sometimes Art House, a local art space that empowers women and queer folks. This year, they presented Girl Gaze, a show designed to challenge the patriarchal ideology that dominates the art world.
Lastly, we hear a segment from Sami Luke’s three-part series on ISIS. This one explores misunderstood terminology and how it has shaped Western views of ISIS and Islam.
