While many have moved on to Christmas already, some of us are not quite ready yet. For a Halloween leftover, The Shins recently released single “Dead Alive” as a teaser for an upcoming 2017 album.
In their first track since the 2012 album Port of Morrow, The Shins stick to the same dreamy indie-rock sound that they are known for. With slightly eerie undertones and the oft-repeated lyric, “figments of imagination,” this track takes you on a four-minute journey that is slightly spooky and psychedelic, but ultimately laid-back.
So whether you need to chill, or want a little more frights in your life, this song can do both for you. Plus it has a fun music video to go along with it.
