Released earlier this month, MY WOMAN is Angel Olsen’s most catchy and approachable album yet. The indie pop-rock LP balances fiery blues with mellow psychedelic, featuring a mix of contemplative ballads and upbeat earworms.
“Give It Up” falls into the latter category, with exhilarating guitar work and punchy drums to match Olsen’s scorching vocals. For a song that sees Olsen lamenting her ambivalence towards an ex-lover, the track is an awful lot of fun.
