Modest Mouse and Brand New announced their co-headlining summer tour this week. Pre-sale tickets are available via Ticketfly while general-sale tickets will be available this Friday, Jan. 29th, at noon local-time. The tour kicks off June 28th in Magna, Utah and runs to the end of July. The band will perform in Clarkston and Chicago along the way.
Consequence of Sound noted a press release that promises no opening acts, two full sets and altering closing sets throughout their tour. Although this is the first co-headlining tour for the two bands, the bands shared the stage in New York back in 2014.
The tour was announced in the wake of Modest Mouse’s new album Strangers to Ourselves and Brand New’s single “Mene” — their first single in six years. Brand New might be performing new material and working on their final studio album rumored to release in the next year.
