This quartet from Nashville has been impressing me this year, churning out songs and videos full of raw emotion and fuzzy punk-rock.
Bully’s “I Remember” is one of the first singles they released from their debut album, Feels Like, this June. Vocalist Alicia Bognanno’s wails are coarse and cathartic as she recites lines like, “I remember my old habits / I remember getting too f***ed up / And I remember throwing up in your car.” Very punk.
Being the leading track on the album, “I Remember” packs the much-needed punch to gain a listener’s attention on a debut. The album has people talking, and I’m sure their upcoming US tour dates with Palehound and Diet Cig will have a solid turn out.
