Spotify Discover mode really did right by me this week. It led me to find Max Frost, a relatively fresh face with a background in R&B and soul from Austin, Texas. His sound is similar to Fitz And The Tantrums with a bit more of a hip-hop influence.
Frost exemplifies the beauty of electric and funky music with his track “Paranoia,” which was first released as a single in 2014 and then as part of 2015’s Intoxication.
“Paranoia” features a heavy drumline that compliments Frost’s melodic voice. I find that whenever I listen to this song, I can’t help but wiggle a little in my seat – if anyone’s wondering, that’s about as much dancing as I’ll do in public.
Feel free to tap your feet or full-on groove to this track, it’s all up to you.
