EAST LANSING, MICH. — The nation’s 4th ranked Michigan State football team defeated Air Force on Saturday by a score of 35-21.
After a dominating first half, the Falcons were able to narrow the Spartan lead to 14. In the end, Connor Cook’s 247 passing yards and four touchdowns were too much for the Air Force Academy to handle. Benton Washington and DJ Johnson both contributed short-yardage touchdown runs for Air Force. Karson Roberts also connected with Jalen Robinette for a 38-yard touchdown.
Aaron Burbridge finished the day with eight catches, 156 yards and three touchdowns. RJ Williamson lead the way for the Spartan defense, finishing with an interception and a fumble returned for a touchdown.
The 3-0 Spartans will play another 12 p.m. game at home next week. That game will be against Central Michigan University.
