I played Alex G nearly every Pity Party during my year as the host. Of course this is going to be my Jam of the Day.
“Bug” is a short one, like most of Alex G’s tracks from any of his six full-length albums, and it has the same fuzzy, homemade charm. The familiarity is reassuring since this is his first release since signing to Domino Records, hopefully pushing him a bit farther into the well-deserved spotlight.
Domino will be releasing his seventh album, Beach Music, on October 9. If you think you can wait even longer than that, the 22-year-old Philadelphia-native will be opening for Title Fight on October 25 in Grand Rapids. Consider this your chance to start learning the words.
