To be perfectly honest, I have not heard anything from The Mountain Goats since their 2004 album, We Shall All Be Healed. It seems I have a lot of catching up do to because “The Legend of Chavo Guerrero” is damn good. The band released their newest album just yesterday (April 7), Beat the Champ, their first one since 2012. This song sounds like Death Cab and The Front Bottoms had a little baby. It is very singer-songwriter meets alternative folk and it does not disappoint.
