“Top Gun: Maverick,” actor Miles Teller visited Crunchy’s in East Lansing on Tuesday to promote The Long Drink as a celebrity endorser.
Teller took pictures with fans and served up cans of the alcoholic beverage. Fans lined up for hours, hoping to catch a glimpse of the star. East Lansing resident Ashley Aiello was one of those fans.
“I just wanna see him,” Aiello said. “Even if it’s the back of his head I’m fine with that, I just want a picture for real. He’s hot and he’s funny and he’s in a lot of my favorite movies.”
Crunchy’s had a full waitlist for the day, but students still formed a line outside to try to get in. Michigan State University freshman Ella Lindemann was in line but admitted she wasn’t sure what the line was actually for.
“My friends and I all love ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ and we wanna see Miles Teller,” Lindemann said. “Just to be in the same room as him would be pretty cool.”
MSU senior Kelly Hintze waited for hours just to see Teller enter the building.
“I saw the top of his head and I started running,” Hintze said. “He’s one of my celeb crushes, and also I feel like it’s cool to see a celebrity. I don’t think I’m ever gonna have this chance again.”
Whatever the reason fans wanted to see Teller, Crunchy’s was buzzing with excitement on Tuesday.
