Michigan State baseball announces 2023 schedule

Michigan State baseball now knows its schedule for the 2023 season. The Spartans will play a 56-game slate, with the season starting February 17, 2023. 

The complete 56-game schedule is below with road games in BOLD and neutral-site games in ITALICS:

The Big Ten Tournament will be played May 24-28 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb., the same location as the College World Series. 

Highlights of the schedule include the Spartans’ first-ever matchup with Grand Canyon, initiated by a trip out to Phoenix to play the Antelopes at GCU Stadium. The Spartans also take on a 12-game road stand out in the Carolinas playing nine different teams over 15 days. Notable teams the Spartans play on the road trip include Air Force, Kansas, and Wofford. 

The Spartans’ first home game comes in Game 21 of 56 with the Purdue Boilermakers coming into town to play at McLane Stadium on March 24. A game with the Lansing Lugnuts awaits as well midseason with the Spartans taking a trip to Jackson Field in Lansing on April 4. 

Michigan State also only plays Michigan in one series. The Spartans host the Wolverines April 21-23 at McLane Stadium.
