This week we are putting the spotlight on Kyle Davidson! Kyle is a journalism and political science major and puts his skills to the test as the Entertainment Editor here at Impact 89fm. You can tune in on Mondays from 4-6pm to hear him live!
What made you decide to join The IMPACT and become a DJ?
I remember listening to The Basement for the first time as a Sophomore and I thought “Hey, what they’re doing is really cool!” I signed up to work on airstaff and entertainment team and two years later I’ve got my own DJ shift.

What has been your best on-air experience?
Queuing up a list of songs with the word hot in the title on that 80 degree day we had in October.
What is the best concert experience you have had?
When I saw 100 Gecs at The Majestic. The crowd just had so much energy, and seeing the Gecs live was an experience in itself.
How do you think working in radio will affect your future career and life?
When working in Journalism it helps to have experience in multiple fields. Live broadcast experience and presenting skills are good things to have on your resume when you work in media!

Love the squirrels.
Plan a dinner in East Lansing with any person dead or alive. Who would it be? Where would you go?
I’m taking George R.R. Martin to HopCat for a drink and some polite conversation. One way or another, I’m getting my hands on “The Winds of Winter.”
