Former MSU basketball star and current Golden State Warriors’ forward Draymond Green was arrested for assault Sunday in East Lansing, MI.
Green was charged with assault and battery Sunday and was released on a $200 bond. He is due for arraignment in East Lansing July 20th. If he is convicted he could face 93 days in jail, as first reported by mlive.com.
The Warriors have released a statement saying they are aware of the situation, but that they are still collecting information on the matter.
According to mlive.com, Team USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo was not aware of the arrest. Green made the Olympic team this past month.
