The Spartan defense stopped Purdue on 4th down with under a minute to play in the game to hang on to win 24-21.

With the win, Connor Cook has become the winningest quarterback in Michigan State history surpassing Kirk Cousins.

The Spartans move to 5-0 on the season and 1-0 in the Big Ten.
