Spartans Defeat Grizzlies for Sixth Straight Time

Although they started off sluggish, the Michigan State Spartans rallied to defeat the Oakland Grizzlies on Sunday at the Breslin Center.

Freshman, Aerial Powers, led the Spartans with a double-double, 21 points and 11 rebounds, which was her third double-double in the last four games. Annalise Pickrel scored 20 points and tied her career high with five 3-pointers.The Spartans were lethargic in the first half, trailing 21-11. But they woke up with 7:52 left until halftime and went on a 12-point run to take the lead.

The Spartans took off after that and owned the second half, as their lead stretched to 24 points. They won with a final score of 80-62.

MSU will be playing in the Puerto Rico Classic against No. 14 Oklahoma State in San Juan, P.R. on Thursday at 2 p.m. Then, they will take on Georgetown on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
