After a heartbreaking turn of events in Boston late Saturday night in the ALCS, Detroit fans’ hopes and dreams were not “restored by the roar” at Ford Field Sunday afternoon.

The Lions squared off against the Bengals, who, like the Lions, were sitting at the top of their division with a 4-2 record.

The game went back-and-forth, ending in thrilling fashion as the Bengals’ kicker Mike Nugent nailed a 54-yard field goal as time expired to win the game 27-24. The Lions fall to 4-3 on the season with a tough loss at home.  If you missed the game and can’t bear to watch Sportscenter in fear of experiencing grand slam related PTSD flashbacks, here is everything you need to know about Week 7 from the world of Twitter.
